Where to Find Hardbone

As we said before, Hardbone is a rare High Rank material that players will need to farm and acquire in order to craft various pieces of High Rank gear and weapons. If you’re looking to prepare your Hunter for more difficult quests and content down the line, then one of the best ways is to get your hands on this rare material and start crafting better items.

There are currently five different beasts that you can hunt in order to collect Hardbone. Now, the thing about this is, all of these monsters will need to be High Rank monsters of at least 6+ stars. If you hunt these monsters without them being 6+ stars, you won’t receive Hardbone.

The monsters you can hunt for Hardbone include the:

  • Black Diablos – found in the Wildspire Waste.
  • Pink Rathian – Found in the Wildspire Waste.
  • Uragaan – Found in the Elder’s Recess.
  • Legiana – Found in the Coral Highlands.
  • Odogaron – Found in the Coral Highlands and the Rotten Vale.

Now, obviously, taking these beasts down isn’t going to be very easy, so you’ll want to make sure you bring along some friends to help you out. You can also fast travel out of an area and then back into it if you’re having trouble finding the monsters you need, or if you kill it and need to spawn another.
