Phantom Blade Zero PC Requirements Revealed as Pre-Orders Go Live
Fingers crossed!
Pre-orders for the highly anticipated action title, Phantom Blade Zero, are finally live across all platforms along with the debut of an 11-minute trailer. Since it’s coming to PC as well, the Steam page has been updated with our first look at the technical side, including the official system requirements.
Here is what you’ll need to play Phantom Blade Zero, along with details of its pre-order bonuses, the contents of each edition, and pricing as well.
Phantom Blade Zero System Requirements
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| Target | 1080p / 30 FPS with upscaling | 1440p / 60 FPS with upscaling |
| OS | Windows 10/11 (64-bit) | Windows 10/11 (64-bit) |
| Processor | Intel Core i7-8700K AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel Core i5-10600K AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Storage | SSD required | SSD required |
This is an Unreal Engine 5 title, and the requirements are pretty much in line with what you’d expect from a title developed on it. First, the target resolutions mention upscaling, so the values aren’t native, and we can’t know for sure how aggressively the upscaling is applied here. Still, if you’re looking to play the title at 1440p with a 60 FPS target, at what I’m assuming are high settings, you’ll need an RTX 3060 Ti paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X.

On the lower end, if you’re fine with a 30 FPS target at 1080p with upscaling enabled, a GTX 1660 paired with a Ryzen 5 3600 can provide that experience. It doesn’t exactly sound that appealing to me, especially since action games benefit from a higher framerate, but it does mean that Phantom Blade Zero is a bit on the demanding side, and you’ll likely need something like an RTX 3060 for a 1080p experience.
An SSD is required regardless of what settings you play the title at, and 16 GB of RAM is required. DirectX 12 is also required, so people with older GPUs might struggle to run the title at all.
Ray and Path Tracing GPU Requirements
On the official website, the developers have also listed GPUs and targets for ray tracing and path tracing.
| Ray-Tracing | Path-Tracing | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB | NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5080 16GB |
| Target | 1080p / 60 FPS (with upscaling enabled) | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB |
Again, the resolutions mentioned are achieved through upscaling and aren’t native.

Can You Play Phantom Blade Zero Early?
No, the Deluxe Edition of Phantom Blade Zero doesn’t have an early access incentive, so everyone will be able to play on the same date.

Is Phantom Blade Zero Coming to PlayStation Plus?
No, Phantom Blade Zero is not coming to any tier of PlayStation Plus.
My only major concern for Phantom Blade Zero is performance. Unreal Engine 5 titles can be pretty hit-or-miss, and the requirements don’t mention any native resolution values, which is always a bit concerning. That concern aside, the game looks fantastic, and the new trailer had so many excellent moments that I’m looking forward to experiencing for myself.
