The Best Skills in Samson
Skills are skills.
In Samson, there are a lot of skills you can build from the four different categories. Each category has some useful skills, whether it is for combat or other general bonuses like AP.
Every skill has some use one way or another, but here are some of the best skills you mustn’t overlook in Samson.
Best Skills to Get in Samson

Thrill of the Fight (Cunning) – You heal slowly in combat while your Adrenaline is full.
The Thrill of the Fight skill is one of the most useful early-game skills in the game. Adrenaline Rush isn’t always active or necessary, so you can keep your adrenaline full most of the time. It saves you some Painkillers and if you are having problems during battle, you can focus on blocking and evading while this skill actively heals you. Trying to get a Painkiller off during combat is sometimes risky, and this skill allows you to play it safer.
Carpe Diem (Cunning) – if you didn’t pay your due $, your first job the next day costs -1 AP.
A great way to get more AP from a single skill compared to other combinations from the tree. It is the last skill point for the Cunning tree, making it hard to get, but definitely worth it.
Disarming Parry (Aggression) – Enemies drop their melee weapons when you perform a Perfect Parry on them.
Great way to disarm annoying enemies, especially since parrying is very satisfying. However, not many skills in this game have synergies with each other, so you can skip this one if you like to evade more than parry.
Deep Impact (Instinct) – Your car deals damage to enemy cars over a greater area.
A great skill to help you with those take-down vehicle jobs.
Heart of Steel (Instinct) – Once per life, when you would get Knocked Out, instead heal a small amount and replenish your Adrenaline.
This is one of the best skills in the game. It does take a while to get since it is the last skill in the Instinct tree, but definitely one everyone should go after quickly.
On a Roll (Tactics) – If you made a good payment last day, gain 1 bonus AP at night.
This is the opposite of Carpe Diem, but even then, both are actually viable to get, literally giving you more AP regardless of whether you made a payment or not.
Pill Popper (Tactics) – You can carry +2 Painkillers.
The skill gives you more healing. That’s about it, but it is useful.
Just remember, there isn’t any variety to Samson’s skill tree, and some skills might even be more useful for you depending on how you engage in combat or how you play the game.
