How to Get More AP in Samson
If only you can also work in the morning.
Managing AP or action points is crucial in Samson. Each job costs AP, including the main missions, and if you don’t use it efficiently, you might not have enough money to pay your dues.
Having six AP per day is fixed, but there are ways to get more AP indirectly through your skill tree. Here are all the skills that can get you more AP in Samson.
How to Get Action Points in Samson – AP Guide

For each day, you’ll have 2 AP for each part of the day, divided into Noon, Evening, and Night, which totals to six AP per day. Most jobs and the main story cost 2 AP, advancing to the next part of the day upon failure or completion.
On an average day, you can finish at least three jobs to make some money. However, to progress, you’ll also want to finish the main story. You want to balance paying your dues, so you’ll have to make sure you have enough money every day to pay your dues, and completing jobs is the main way to make money. It’s a troublesome mechanic, always having to pay your dues, but here are some ways you can indirectly get more AP through the skill trees so you can finish more jobs.

Go to the in-game menu and go to the skills tab. Skills are categorized into four different trees: Instinct, Tactics, Aggression, and Cunning. Surprisingly, each category has a skill that affects AP. Here’s a table containing all the skills that affect AP.
| Skill Name | Skill Category | Effect |
| Streetwise | Instinct | After a failed job, your next job on the same day costs -1 AP. |
| On a Roll | Tactics | If you made a good payment on the last day, gain 1 bonus AP at night. |
| Sleep of the Just | Tactics | If you went to sleep with at least 1 AP remaining, gain 1 bonus AP at the start of the next day. |
| Night Owl | Aggression | Once per night, you can start a job with insufficient AP as long as you have at least 1. |
| Carpe Diem | Cunning | If you didn’t pay your dues ($), your first job next day costs -1 AP. |
Assuming you don’t fail your jobs, Streetwise is basically useless, and even if you fail some jobs, sometimes -1 AP isn’t enough since you might only have 2 AP jobs available during the day.
On a Roll is great, as it directly gives you one more AP if you successfully pay your dues, which should snowball: you make more money with more AP, giving you better chances of paying your dues every day. Combine this skill with Sleep of the Just, and you’ll always maximize your bonus AP.
Night Owl synergizes well with On a Roll and Sleep of the Just, allowing you to perform better jobs that cost 2 or more AP. If you don’t plan on taking all of these skills for AP, Carpe Diem is the next best skill for AP, as it gives you at least 1 AP for jobs if you didn’t pay your dues (which you can do on purpose).
