There’s one confusing part in the East Raccoon City section that gets people stumped in Resident Evil Requiem.

This is the part where the objective needs Leon to look around the rooftop using his binoculars, needing to check 0 out of 3 surroundings. Here’s a quick guide on finding those three surroundings, which is oddly mandatory to get off the binoculars.

All Three Surroundings to Check in East Raccoon City – Resident Evil Requiem

After getting the first part of the detonator, the Distributor, Sherry, calls in, and Leon will bring out his binoculars. You have to check or examine three areas, and you can’t leave this mode until you do, which is weird. You can only look around and examine; once you’ve checked all three surroundings, a new exit command will show at the bottom so you can leave this mode.

Water Tower Antenna

The first antenna is by the water tower, between two buildings.

The next antenna is next to the fallen tower, which should sum up the two remaining detonator parts already. However, there’s still a third one.

Fuel Station

The third and most confusing one is the need to examine the gas station. You do have to go there to activate some of the generators and progress, which is maybe why it also needed a quick scan.

If you are getting lost through this part of East Raccoon City, we have a full walkthrough available for Resident Evil Requiem.
