Is Hytale Coming to Consoles and Mobile? Answered
All in good time.
Hytale is launching in early access in January 2026, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of next year. But what platforms is it coming to apart from PC? Here is everything you need to know about the availability of the upcoming sandbox title.
Is Hytale Coming to Consoles?
No, Hytale is not coming to consoles at launch; it will be released in early access exclusively on PC.
The developers have confirmed on their official FAQ that their current focus is on the early access release of Hytale, which is on PC only. However, that doesn’t mean that Hytale won’t eventually launch on consoles, and is something the developers have expressed desire in, but the current focus is to make the best possible PC version first.
Here is the relevant quote from the FAQ:
No, the early access of Hytale will only be on PC (MAC and Linux still TBD). We are planning for a console release at a later stage, but this requires a lot of work on backend systems to make this a reality, so its not something we want to invest resources into right now. For now, we would like to focus on making a good game first.
It also confirms that MAC and Linux will not be supported at launch either. You can read the full FAQ here.
Is Hytale Coming to Mobile?
Similarly, Hytale is not launching on mobile devices during the early access period.
However, the developers have confirmed that they’re still evaluating the possibility of this, so you shouldn’t rule it out just yet.
There will be no mobile version of Hytale for Early Access. We are still evaluating what it would take to make this a feasible reality and will keep you updated once we know more.
Whether it’s a mobile or console port, it will all really come down to how successful the title is during the early access period. There is considerable hype behind the project, and I’m sure once early access is over, the developers will eventually release Hytale on other platforms as well, just like other early access titles. However, I wouldn’t expect ports before the 1.0 release.
