Customization is an essential part of any good beat ’em up, and it’s usually in the form of alternate color palettes for playable characters. It’s no different in Marvel Cosmic Invasion, and each character in its massive roster has not two or three but eight different palettes.

Here is how you can unlock each alternate color palette for every character in Marvel Cosmic Invasion.

Unlock All Color Palettes in Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Each character in Marvel Cosmic Invasion has eight total color palettes. They start with a few, but the rest need to be unlocked, and here is how:

  • You need to spend cosmic cubes in the Cosmic Matrix (Main Menu > Vault > Cosmic Matrix) and unlock new palettes for different characters. The color palettes are represented by the purple cubes. I’m not sure if the order is random, but here is a mostly complete Cosmic Matrix if you want to focus on the purple cubes specifically. There are 30 palettes to collect through this.
  • The final eighth color palette is unlocked after you’ve leveled up a hero to 10. You level up characters by playing with them and finishing missions. It doesn’t matter if you’re replaying a mission; you will always earn XP for completing it with the specific character.

How To Earn Cosmic Cubes in Marvel Cosmic Invasion

You earn cosmic cubes by collecting hidden cubes (one of each) in all missions, completing the challenges, and finishing the mission itself.

  • The hidden cubes are outlined in the background of a stage, and you need to hit them to reveal them. These aren’t that hard to find if you keep an eye out for a cube-shaped outline.
  • Completing challenges will also give you cosmic cubes, and these challenges can be completed at your ease. You can even finish the challenge and exit out of the mission if you want; it will still be marked as completed. These usually require specific characters for the particular mission.

Finally, you also get cubes for finishing the mission. You can check the progress of these cubes by hovering over a mission and selecting.

It’s the same process for each character. You start with a few color palettes for each one, then you gather cubes and fill out the Cosmix Matrix to get the palettes up to seven, and then you level up characters to 10 to get the final one.
