Best Sylvie Healer Build Guide in Fellowship – Rotation, Stat Priorities, and Talents

Resto druid?

Sylvie is one of the more difficult but powerful healers in Fellowship. She relies on using nature to heal, as well as providing decent damage against foes, while having decent utility.

She does well at healing the party, but there’s a lot of micromanaging involved if you need single-target burst healing. If you are looking to main or just learn Sylvie, here’s a comprehensive guide on her talents, skill rotations, stat priorities, and more.

Sylvie Healer Build Guide and Overview

Sylvie is a complex healer who relies on healing over time effects to keep the party healthy, as well as using healing over time skills to do single-target healing in bursts. Most of her healing comes from Sylvie’s Flutterflies. Her main UI, in the middle of the screen (by default), contains four pink and one blue butterfly icons.

The four pink butterflies are related to her Fluttercall: Heal ability. She attaches a pink butterfly to an ally, healing them over time. The duration lasts forever or until you recall them. She plays around with these pink butterflies as her Fluttercall: Restore Life reattaches those pink butterflies to the target for more single-target healing.

That’s why Sylvie is a bit more complicated, as you need to look for the balance between reapplying these healing-over-time effects, doing healing bursts, managing cooldowns, and dealing damage.

Sylvie also has some great utility skills.

Sylvie’s Skill Rotations

For Sylvie, you want to use this rotation:

  • Cast Pricklyvine on cooldown.
  • Keep Fluttercall: Protect on tank (only swap it to yourself when you need AoE or party healing)
  • Use Fluttercall: Heal buffs up on the tank. When there’s time, you can give everyone Fluttercall: Heal buffs.
  • Use Flutercall: Restore Life for single-target healing when someone is low. Reapply Fluttercall: Heal as two of your Pink Flutterflies will get recalled when using Restore Life.
  • Cast Life Petal for emergency single-target healing.
  • Cast Heart Bloom for AoE healing or when you need extra healing, even for single-target.
  • Cast Shroomsplosion on hard pulls or bosses. When you have the Bloomin’ Boomshrooms talent, use Shroomsplosion as an extra single-target healing burst.
  • Cast Nettlebolt as fillers.

Since you are playing as a healer, this rotation isn’t really fixed. There are times when you have to intervene with a dispel or use a cooldown like Ironleaf Ward, Enfeebling Rootsap, or Safe Haven.

Ironleaf Ward is for mitigation, mainly used on tanks. You want to use Ironleaf Ward before your target receives the big damage, or it is basically worthless or inefficient.

Enfeebling Rootsap reduces the damage of an enemy for 6 seconds, mainly used before the enemy casts a strong attack or spell.

Safe Haven places a circle on the floor that increases healing taken by 40%. You’ll also use Cure Ailment to remove harmful magic effects or debuffs on your party.

Sylvie’s Gearing and Stat Priorities

Intellect and Stamina are considered your main stats, with much higher emphasis on Intellect to increase your overall power. You can barely do much when it comes to Intellect, but you can definitely tweak around your secondary stats to make Slyvie even stronger. Here are the four secondary stats and their overall effects:

  • Critical Strike – has a chance to double your damage and healing effects.
  • Expertise – increases overall damage, healing, and absorb effect.
  • Haste – increases attack speed, cast speed, and tick rate of over time effects.
  • Spirit – increase Spirit Points generation. Provide chances to refund mana when using abilities that cost mana. For every mana refund triggered, Sylvie spawns a Prickly Vine.

Stat priorities heavily depend on the talent build, but generally, you want to follow Haste > Spirit > Expertise = Critical Strike.

Haste helps you cast and heal quicker, which has direct effects on your healing output. For example, casting more Nettlebolts will give you more Life Petal casts. When using the Flower Power talent, you can even accelerate your Heart Blooms with more Haste. Apart from these, Haste quickens your healing over time effects, which is crucial to keeping your party members alive in tough situations since Sylvie’s burst healing is very conditional.

While mana is barely a problem for Sylvie, a higher Spirit stat gives her more burst healing through gaining more withers for her Shroomsplosion. Since you can randomly spawn Prickly Vines, which even does some damage, you are getting more charges for your Shroomsplosion.

You get more value out of this when you spec into Bloomin’ Boomshrooms, which allows you to use the Shroomsplosion on allies, healing them while still damaging the enemies nearby. I’d say this talent is mandatory for all types of Sylvie builds, as it basically gives her an additional burst healing option.

Best Sylvie Talents

For Sylvie’s talents, you can play around a few builds, depending on how you want to heal your team. Sylvie’s talents usually revolve around one or two key skills, and you’ll want to gear yourself to complement those talents. Here are two common talent builds that are specific to a certain healing playstyle.

Nettlebolt and Life Petal Healing

  • Nettle to the Petal
  • Sprouting Nettles
  • Symbiosis
  • Bluey’s Gambit
  • Bloomin’ Boomshrooms

In this talent build, you’ll normally go through the same healing rotation by applying Fluttercall: Heal and Fluttercall: Restore Life, but you have more overall healing sustain by spamming Nettlebolts throughout an encounter or fight.

When you spam Nettlebolts, you are also triggering a Life Petal tick when it is out for more healing. With each Nettlebolt cast, you are reducing the cooldown of your Life Petal by 1.5 seconds, which goes up to 3 seconds if it crits. So, this talent build will move the Critical Strike stat as your #1 stat, along with Haste.

You’ll want Crit > Haste > Spirit = Expertise for this talent build. You still have the power of Bloomin’ Boomsrooms for single-target burst healing and a much more relaxed pace of managing your Pink Fluitterflies since you are more focused on Nettlebolts.

Fluttercall Passive Healing

  • Synchronized Fluttering
  • Flutterswift
  • Bluey’s Gambit
  • Bloomin’ Boomshrooms

This talent build revolves around Sylvie’s core Fluttercall: Heal and Fluttercall: Restore Life. With Synchronized Fluttering, you can apply Pink Flutterflies to every party member in one cast.

This makes it easier to reapply the buffs, incentivizing Fluttercall: Restore Life casts more. In a way, you can apply at least two healing over time effects on your party members who need them the most.

When combined with Life Petal and Heart Bloom, you have even more healing power in crucial situations. Flutterswift allows you to double your healing from Fluttercall: Heal when you are constantly reapplying the buff every 12 seconds.
