How to Weaken the Swarm’s Access Point to the Island in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4

The story continues.

You’re only given this task and no other directions to get it done, so figuring out where to go and what to do can be rather tough. It’s an important mission to work through if you want to keep up with the main storyline and earn some solid XP, though, so here’s how to weaken the swarm’s access point to the island in Fortnite.

The swarm’s access point can be found near the edge of a cliff that’s east of Gourdy Gate, west of Utopia City, and north of Dreamy Domain. It’s very close to the train tracks and the broken-down train that’s out of commission this season.

You’re looking for a small, glowing, swirling portal at this location. Once you’re close to it, the portal will be marked with a white diamond icon to help you pinpoint its exact location. The toughest part of this quest is finding it, but once you’ve got it in your sights, the rest of the mission is easy to complete.

To weaken the swarm’s access point to the island, you need to approach the red portal on the cliff east of Gourdy Gate and press the button that appears next to the “Weaken access point” message. The precise button you need to press varies depending on your platform and specific keybinds, but it’s displayed for you on the left side of the message to help you get this mission done.

As soon as you interact with the portal to weaken it, it’ll turn into a larger blue and purple vortex as you weaken the swarm’s access point to the island quest is complete. You’ll need to meet up with Hope over at Supernova Academy right after this to finish the mission that comes right after it, but once you do, you’ll be done with the full Prepare to Fight story quest series.

There’s still plenty more to get done around the island, so if you aren’t sure what to do next after finishing this feat, consider tackling some key tasks. Some of the tougher missions you need to get done are defeating Ultima Carver, carving pumpkins, completing found quests, and calling players with Last Call.
