You’re not given any additional guidance beyond this instruction, so it can be a bit tricky to figure out what needs to be done. If you’re struggling to work through this mission, here’s how to call players with Last Call in Fortnite.

You can obtain the Last Call item by entering any Stalkbox around the island. They’re ominous telephone booths that emit a loud ringing noise and have an orange and black glow around them. When you’re close to one, you’ll see an exclamation point icon appear.

There are around 30 possible spots for Stalkboxes to appear, but in each round, only some of these spots will have one for you to find. There’s no way to check where they are other than venturing to possible spawn locations. It’s generally fairly easy to come across one by simply looting around as you usually would, but if you want to increase your chances of finding one, here are some spots to check.

  • In the middle of the bridge at Pumpkin Pass.
  • Close to the front entrance of Creepy Camps near the lake.
  • At the gas station south of Creepy Camps, where you can get a found quest from Shaggy.
  • Near the south end of Utopia City.
  • In the middle of Dreamy Domain.
  • Near the north end of Kappa Kappa Factory.
  • In the center of Shogun’s Solitude.
  • In the middle of the vibrant flower fields south of Utopia City.
  • Near the east edge of Canyon Crossing.

To complete the call players with Last Call quest, you need to mark a total of 10 players using Last Call. The Last Call item has two functions you can use with this item equipped:

  • Attack is your basic slashing move, and the only one you can use to fight enemy players.
  • Call players is the second move this item has. This function scans the nearby area with a red grid and highlights all enemies within your radius with a red diamond. It’s not the primary use for this item, so unless you specifically look at the abilities it has, it’s easy to overlook.

You need to use the call players ability to progress in this quest. The exact button you need to press for this function varies by platform, but it’s always displayed in the bottom left corner, slightly above your health bar, when you have this item equipped.

The call players ability has a bit of a cooldown, so try to only use it when you think there are players nearby, or it might end up being unavailable when you need it. All you need to do for this mission is “call” players by marking them with your special ability. As soon as you’ve marked 10 different players with this move, the quest will be complete. Your progress tracks across rounds, so there’s no need to rush it.

With this mission now complete, you can move on to tackling other key Fortnitemares missions around the island. Next, you might work on finding and carving pumpkins or tackling a tough boss battle by defeating Ultima Carver.
