Bandit has always been known for his strong attack speed scaling, but a new meta has pushed him to near the top of the leaderboard, the Black Hole build. Here’s everything you need to know about the best Bandit build in Megabonk for your next god run.
Bandit Stats and Passive
Bandit’s passive gives him +1% Attack Speed per level, which pairs with builds that require rapid procs and consistent execution effects. His kit doesn’t give him direct sustain like Megachad(Interlink), but what Bandit lacks in durability, he makes up for with speed and raw scaling power.

The faster Bandit attacks, the more procs he gets from legendaries like Joe’s Dagger, which is the true win condition in this setup.
Best Bandit Build in Megabonk
The best Bandit build focuses on Black Hole + Size Tome synergy and rounds it off with execution, luck, and XP scaling.
Best Weapons for Bandit
- Black Hole (core)
- Katana (synergy with size scaling)
- Dexecutioner
- Aura (Optional: Flamewalker, Lightning Staff, Banana, Axe)
Black Hole is mandatory, and with the Size Tome, your black holes will expand to cover huge areas, trapping enemies and keeping you safe deep into overtime. Katana is incredibly strong with size scaling, letting you slice the entire screen. Aura is there not because it’s strong, but because this powerful build can crash your computer, and Aura helps stabilize the FPS.

Best Tomes for Bandit
- Size Tome (mandatory)
- XP Tome
- Luck Tome
- Cursed Tome
The Size Tome is what makes this build function, scaling both Black Hole and secondary weapons. The Difficulty Tome increases spawn density, giving you more kills, more XP, and more chances to snowball, but don’t grab it too early. XP gain has a 10× cap, but Luck is uncapped, which makes it the most important late-game scaling tome.
Best Items for Bandit
- Joe’s Dagger: The core of the build. Bandit’s attack speed can fire constantly. Aim for 15–20 Daggers, then banish extras so you can pivot into other legendaries.
- Zawardo: Your safety net in ghost overtime, letting you push runs past the 60-minute wall.
- Magnet Legendary: One copy is mandatory for free XP collection every 30 seconds. Extra copies are overkill.
- Moldy Cheese / Poison: Strong early-game DOT scaling until your Daggers come online.
- Mirror, Ice Cube, Spicy Meatball, Slutty Canon: Optional damage fillers. Not required, but can reach Quintillions in damage numbers with good luck.
Note that while Anvil is meta for other characters, it’s overrated and not really the best for this Bandit build.
How to Play Bandit
Early Game (Zone 1)
Don’t level Black Hole early because its upgrades are weak at low levels and won’t help with farming. Instead, focus on Katana or Aura early. Look for projectile count increases since you won’t have the Projectile Tome and rush the XP Tome. The goal of Stage 1 is to go infinite by the first boss ghost wave, meaning enough tomes, Joe’s Daggers, and ideally 2 Lamps. Without these, you won’t survive long enough to scale.
Mid Game (Zone 2)
This is where your scaling begins. Start pumping points into XP and Luck Tomes, then Cursed Tome once your damage stabilizes. The goal is to snowball experience so you can hit high levels quickly. Your run will live or die based on finding Joe’s Dagger before Stage 3 overtime. Until then, stabilize with Black Hole and Katana while farming as much XP as possible.
Late Game (Zone 3 & Overtime)
At this stage, Black Hole size + Bandit’s attack speed carry the build. The Stage 3 chest should give you multiple legendaries, ideally the ones listed in the best items section. With these, you can AFK farm ghosts until the 60-minute mark. At that point, mobs become unstoppable, so without Zawardo, you should leave around 59 minutes. With Zawardo, greed until you die, then take the boss portal, and repeat the farm.

WARNING: Reaching this stage with this Bandit build might crash your PC due to all the effects.
Bandit’s Black Hole build is one of the strongest in Megabonk right now, and it’s capable of reaching 1 million kills and leaderboard runs. Shoutout to Martyr_Dom for helping perfect this build.
