Worrying about valuables during the apocalypse isn’t on top of Kyle Crane’s priority list in Dying Light: The Beast, but that doesn’t mean they don’t hold value. During your adventure as a parkour auteur and survival expert, you’ll find priceless items that don’t explode on contact with a zombie’s skull.
So, what should you do with these discarded smartphones, bracelets, and computer parts? Is selling them the right call? Here is everything you need to know.
Should You Sell Valuables in Dying Light The Beast?
Yes, you should always sell whatever valuables you’ve found during exploration at different traders in Dying Light: The Beast.
Any item marked with the valuable tag has no practical use, as these can’t be used for crafting any weapon, ammunition, or mod. Instead, valuables can be sold for in-game money, which you can use to buy gear and resources.
Money, or “Old World Money,” isn’t the most common item during exploration, which is why you’re always expected to sell off any valuables you have in your inventory and make some cash.
How To Sell Valuables in Dying Light: The Beast
To sell valuables that you currently possess, simply head over to any trader in the game and either sell each valuable item in the “SELL” tab or hold C in the vendor’s screen to sell all available valuables in your inventory.

This also tells you how much total cash you’ll receive and saves you the time of thinking which valuable item you should sell, which is all of them. Don’t think, just do! Sell it all.
Where To Find Valuables in Dying Light The Beast
Valuables can be found all around the world of Dying Light: The Beast, but these are especially common in Dark Zone areas.

You know, the spooky hives where all the enemies are crouching and waiting to take a bite out of your unsuspecting foot. Don’t be afraid, though. I think most of the early Dark Zones are actually quite manageable, and an easy strategy is to just stealth kill every infected and be done with it.

For reference, these are all the valuables I got after exploring a single, smaller Dark Zone area.

How To Scan for Valuables
If you’re like me and want to search every nook and cranny of every building and room you enter, then the Survivor Sense (Q) is your best friend. Make sure to spam that a few times in every room you enter so all the lootable item is highlighted.

This also highlights valuables and not just regular resources and weapons.
So, just to recap, yes, you should always sell valuables in Dying Light: The Beast. Don’t hoard them in your inventory; they have no use.
