No matter what Guardian class you’re playing, or what activity you’re doing, there is always going to be plenty of ways to maximize your leveling experience, and make sure you’re always progressing forward.

If you really want to earn experience quickly early on, then the best way to is knock out the opening campaign missions, as these will earn you quite a bit of experience along the way. Now, as you move forward, things may slow down a bit, which is when you’ll want to start looking into completing Crucible matches, Strikes, or even clearing out uncharted zones in the game world. No matter what you’re doing, being able to earn experience along the way is going to make the leveling grind much easier. If you really want to maximize your level growth potential, then completing the main storyline is absolutely the best way to do that.

How to Hit Max Power Fast

Now, once you hit level 20—the max level—as a Guardian, it’s time to shift your focus to leveling up your Power Level—which is basically your Light Level from Destiny 1. When this happens, the best way to progress is going to be to continue doing what you were doing before. Every activity, mission, Strike, Nightfall, and Crucible match has a chance to drop new items for you, which will most often be items of greater Power than what you currently have. This will allow you to focus on playing the game, while also progressing forward to make sure you are ready for additional missions and adventures.
