Acorn Shells and Tops unlock several crafts and buildings in Grounded 2. They are crucial to your base progression and give fighter-type armor pieces.
However, they become hard to find even if you fixate on finding one. Here’s where you can find them in Grounded 2.
Where to Find Acorns in Grounded 2

To get Acorns, you’ll need the Omni-Hammer tool first. Make sure to go to the Ranger Station and upgrade your Omni-Hammer tool to at least tier 1.
When you have the Omni-Hammer ready, go to the oak tree to the south of the laboratory or starting area. Look at the map and the oak tree image above as a reference.
Since the roots of the oak tree are quite long, the Acorns actually spawn around the roots and not just near the tree itself.
So, you’ll find the roots even before you get to the center of the oak tree, but there are usually some Orb Weavers, Spiderlings, Red Soldier Ants, and Red Worker Ants nearby. Once you get closer to the center of the oak tree, there could be some Bombadier Beetles, too.
Even if you can’t fight Orb Weavers or Bombadier Beetles yet, you can always avoid them and go straight for the Acorns. I suggest having at least tier 2 armor pieces against the Bombadier Beetles. If you have a full party, you can easily eliminate them as long as you work together as a team.
Each Acorn should have at least two Acorn Shells. There are times when Acorn Tops don’t drop, but they normally drop one for each Acorn.
When farming Acorns, it’s best to collect a lot before heading back. In most cases, the oak tree is a bit far from your base, especially if you set up camp near the Ranger Station. Bring some water for survival, too. It could be hard to find water, especially if there are a lot of enemies nearby.
