Looking to get the best roll for your Imago Loop? We have the details.
This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

The Imago Loop is a strike specific hand cannon that can only be obtained through the Echo Chamber or Undying Mind strikes. It is very similar to Destiny Year 1’s Fatebringer hand cannon, and is a must-have weapon for those looking to make the most of The Taken King’s weapons when Destiny: Rise of Iron releases this coming Tuesday on September 20. To help you out, we’ve pulled together this guide to help you get the best possible roll for your Imago Loop.

If you’re looking for a Mid-Impact roll for the Imago Loop, we suggest going for perks like SureShot, Rangefinger, Outlaw, Smallbore, Hand Loaded, and Hidden Hand or Luck in the Chamber. OF course, there are a few more perks you could go for, and we will go into detail surrounding those in a few moments. Why go for mid-impact with the Imago Loop? Well the answer to that is quite simple. While you will have slow equip speed and low stability, your weapon will feature both an above average magazine size as well as a heightened damage range and very high recoil direction. This means the Imago Loop will work exceptionally well in ranged situations, making it a highly effective PVP primary.

Of course, there are plenty of more perks you could include on your Imago Loop roll, and to help you make sure you know the most about this weapon, we’ve put together a list of each column’s recommended perks below.

  • Column 1: TrueSight or SureShot.
  • Column 2: Rangefinder, Hot Swap, Spray and Pray, Outlaw, or Underdog.
  • Column 3: Smallbore, Rifled Barrel, Hammer Forged, Reinforced Barrel, Braced Frame, Hand Loaded, or Explosive Rounds.
  • Column 4: Luck in the Chamber, Hidden Hand or Icarus, Third Eye, Life Support, Reactive Reload, Army of One, or Grenadier.

As with any hand cannon, TrueSight and SureShot are your best option for sights, as they booth boost the average base aim assist, which is fairly important for any hand cannon roll. Of course, as you continue through the columns, Rangefinder is generally considered the highest tier perk you can acquire here, with Outlaw coming in as a viable second. Of course, Rifled Barrel is your best bet for column three, though both Smallbore and Reinforced Barrel are welcome alternatives. For your final and fourth column you will want to score Hidden Hand or Icarus, as they are just two of the most useful perks available in Destiny. Of course, there aren’t really any bad options here, but it all amounts to what your play style benefits from the most.

If you want to make the most of your Imago Loop as you go into Destiny: Rise of Iron, then you will want to take the information above into account. Each perk we’ve listed off is perfectly viable, though to get a God-like weapon roll will take quite a bit of work. At the end of the day the perks only matter if you can make the most of them, so you shouldn’t stress out too much if you’re one perk off from the perfect weapon roll. Destiny: Rise of Iron will release on September 20 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 exclusively, so be sure to keep an eye on our site for updated walkthroughs, guides, and tips as we head into the new expansion next week.
