Resident Evil 7: Biohazard’s Demo Is Making Downloadable History

Two million downloads and climbing for the return to survival horror.

Ever since Capcom released it as a surprise last month during E3 week, the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard demo has been making huge waves on the PlayStation 4.

The company reported this week that the demo has already reached two million downloads globally, and has also set the record for the most downloaded single-player PS4 demo in its first week of release in North America. That’s a pretty huge deal, considering it was originally released as a PlayStation Plus exclusive.

The demo provides a nice pace of what’s to come in the full game, which will bring a full “return to horror” when it arrives on January 24, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Congrats to Capcom and the development team! We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.
