Everything’s coming up Spider-Man this summer, with the official debut of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Captain America: Civil War. However, soon enough, he’ll be swinging back into action in video games.
Sony has announced during its pre-E3 conference last night that Insomniac Games, the creators of Ratchet & Clank and Sunset Overdrive, have begun development on an all-new Spider-Man adventure for PlayStation 4.
The game will feature all the web-slinging, thug-bashing action that you can hope for, in an open-world environment where you’ll be able to get around and fight crime however you please. It will also feature many iconic villains, as the trailer below teases.
Spider-Man doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected in 2017 – probably around the same time that Spider-Man Homecoming hits theaters next summer. Excelsior!
