Marth is one of the most talked about amiibo because 1.) he’s extremely rare, and 2.) his design changed over time, particularly his face, which received a derpy downgrade.

With that in mind, it appears the next Fire Emblem character to receive an amiibo, Ike, won’t look exactly like the original design. A recent listing on Amazon Japan shows a new amiibo with a thinner face and body, along with much sharper colors on his clothing and sword.
Personally we’re OK with the change, since it doesn’t appear to represent a decline in quality. Now all we need is a firm release date for amiibo wave 3.
