Prepare for Cosplay Pikachu in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

Lots of people dress up like Pokemon characters at video game and comic book conventions. Now it’s time for Pokemon to dress like people.

Prepare to have your mind officially blown. Cosplay Pikachu is a thing, and you’ll see it on full display in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for 3DS, which release November 21st.

What’s the point of this? First, it makes Pikachu even more adorable. Second, it gives Nintendo and The Pokemon Company five additional plush toys to sell. Third, these new Pikachu variations have a mysterious connection to something called a Contest Hall. Finally, you can bond with these Pikachu via Pokémon-Amie, which lets you play games with these critters, pet and then feed them a delicious treat called Poké Puffs.

Pikachu Belle – Finally, a Pikachu that understands the concept of southern hospitality! 

Pikachu Pop Star – Bet this Pikachu sings without the help of Auto-Tune. Eat your heart out, Britney Spears! 

Pikachu Ph.D. – Paging doctor Pikachu? Doctor Pikachu, you have an emergency!

Pikachu Libre – A Mexican wrestler Pikachu? Sure, why the heck not?
