Yesterday’s World Cup semi-final match between Brazil and Germany was a massacre, with the Germans annihilating the host country 7-1 in one of the worst defeats in football history. Goal after goal, the crowd slipped into various states of shock, disappointment and downright sobbing. People left early and German fans needed escorts to safely leave the stadium.

Suffice to say, no one expected Brazil to play that poorly, even without injured superstar forward Neymar. Even characters from Nintendo’s upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS could not believe what happened. Fortunately, we captured these emotions and have them for you below.

Luigi probably had money on the game, and by the look of his face, he didn’t bet on Brazil.
