You might have come across some random resources while searching through the Factoriopedia using Alt + Click in Factorio 2.0. Some of the products you might have come across look incredibly useful and powerful, but you have no way to see or get them. Most of these are new items from the Space Age DLC, such as Supercapacitors and Superconductors. They lead to powerful new and powerful weapons and a lot of other things. If you have come across Fulgora, you might have a clue what they are but have no idea how to create them. We’ll answer all these in this Superconductors production guide in Factorio 2.0.
How to Produce Superconductors in Factorio 2.0
Superconductors are the most used product in Fulgora in terms of introducing new tech. Most of the future production lines in Fulgora and maybe even other planets will use Superconductors, which means that you need lots of them and fast. The production line for Superconductors is very easy.
It needs Copper Plates, Plastic, Holmium Plates, and Light Oil. However, if you are in Fulgora, the Copper Plates and Plastic require a few extra steps compared to other planets. On the bright side, these extra steps actually make it easier to craft.
Since Copper Plates and Plastic aren’t part of the “recycled” goods list from Scraps, you will need to recycle some of the materials you get from Scrap, specifically Low Density Structures or Advanced Circuits for Plastics and Copper Cables or Batteries.
Create a completely different line from your Scrap – Recycler production setup for recycling these intermediate products. Just place them on a logistics network chest (red or purple) after recycling the products above.
For Light Oil, you want to use the Heavy Oil Cracking to Light Oil recipe in a Chemical Plant. Since you have unlimited Heavy Oil, you can turn it into Light Oil. You just need a way to create water, which is conveniently easily since you are getting Ice as a product from recycling Scraps. Place a Chemical Plant and create Water, then place the output into another Chemical Plant to produce the Light Oil.
You are free to use as many Offshore Pumps as possible since you don’t want to run out of Heavy Oil in your production lines. They are basically free, so don’t get lazy.
For Holmium Plates, you want to make the Holmium Solution first. All the materials come from the Scraps, which are Holmium Ore, Stone, and Ice (Water). Place the Holmium Solution’s output into Assembly Machine 3 and pump out some Holmium Plates. You don’t want to create a lot of Holmium Plates, so put a limit on your storage chest for the Holmium Plates. The Holmium Solution will be needed to make Electrolytes later.
Once you have everything, you need to create an Electromagnetic Plant with all the required materials to craft the Superconductors. Treat it as you would use a Foundry in Vulcanus. You can use a blue chest to streamline all the production lines, but you should leave some space for future expansions as you may need to create more plants.

What Are Superconductors Used For in Factorio 2.0?
Superconductors are mainly used to craft Supercapacitors and several other useful products. They are used to craft the next tier of weapons from Fulgora, which are the Tesla Gun and Tesla Turret. You also use them to make the Railgun and Railgun Turret once you have access to other materials on the 4th planet.
Superconductors also open up upgrades to your armor through a Mech Armor, Personal Roboport MK.2, and more. The most important use of Superconductors is to make Supercapacitors and turn them into the Electromagnetic Science Pack (pink potion) so you can start unlocking new tech and progress.
Needless to say, you’ll need thousands of these Superconductors, so you will definitely need some extra space to expand your production factories in Fulgora.
