When is the Season Reset in Once Human? (November 2024)

Almost time!

Once Human sets itself apart from other open-world survival titles with its unique Seasons and Scenarios system. Each Season consists of multiple scenarios that dramatically change the rules of the joined server and largely serve a common theme.

During the final phase of the Season, there is a server wipe, or reset, which evens the playing field for all players. The latest Season Reset is planned for Once Human arrives in November 2024, and here’s what you need to know.

Once Human Season Reset November 2024

While a concrete date for the new season hasn’t been announced for Once Human, we expect a server reset to occur at the end of November 2024. This coincides with the average duration of a Season described by the developers, which is six weeks.

The last major server wipes for PvP and PvE occurred on the following dates:

  • PvP: September 26, 2024
  • PvE: October 17, 2024

Based on the dates above, we expect the new season reset or server wipe to occur in the final week of November for PvE, and the first week of December for PvP.

However, this is also dependant on when you joined your server and what Phase you’re currently in. Allow me to explain.

Season Reset in Once Human Explained

Each Season lasts roughly four to six weeks, though that period is subject to change depending on the length of the scenarios. The Season is divided into different phases, and once a player has completed the phases or scenarios, they can sign up for the next Season’s scenario while spending their time during this transitionary phase or the “Settlement Phase” in the server they’re currently in.

Once a server is reset, the following resets for players as well:

  • Character level: Even though you retain characters, their level is reduced to 1.
  • Map exploration: The map is reset, and will likely be different depending on the scenario you choose.
  • Memetic Specializations.
  • Building materials and resources.
  • Starchrom Crates.
  • Looted Weapons.

It’s not all bad though, because there is a lot of content you’ll still take with you to the new Season and its scenarios.

Content Retained After Server Wipe in Once Human

The following content is always retained by the players after a server reset.

  • Important Currency: Starchroms, Crystgins, Mitsuko’s Marks, Stellar Planula, and Sproutlets.
  • Gear Blueprints (and their stars), Blueprint Fragments, Weapon Accessories, and Mods.
  • Furniture Formulas (except those gained through Memetics).
  • Cosmetics, Expressions and Poses, Namecards, and more.
  • House Blueprints
  • Main story and side story task progress (for the tasks you’ve already completed, you can accept more streamlined versions of them in the new season but still get all the rewards).
  • The friend list will fully carry over. Furthermore, players check which other players joined their Warband in the previous seasons and add them to their friend list.
  • Additionally, players can import some essential resources including medicine, materials, and ammo that they’ve gathered in previous Scenarios via Eternaland.

Even though a Season reset sounds intimidating, it doesn’t take long to regain your progress and resources. It also makes it a bit fair for new players joining in, especially in PvP servers. We’re excited to see what new scenarios and rules the developers are cooking up for the next major season.
