Pitching in Sony’s MLB 14: The Show is either super easy or difficult, depending on whether you select Beginner or Experienced. Almost anyone can figure out Beginner, since the game holds their hand through the process. Experienced, on the other hand, requires a somewhat deep understanding of how to pitch, combined with a rhythm game of sorts that forces players to pay close attention to a constantly moving Pulse located in the strike zone. If you don’t understand how it works, plenty of balls and wild pitches will follow. You simply cannot win without mastering it.
