A bit complicated.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is out now on PC through multiple storefronts, and it’s another addition to the long-running Black Ops series from Treyarch. It also has a campaign, which can thankfully be downloaded separately if you aren’t interested in the multiplayer aspect. The progress is still tied to the Activision account, but if you want to back up your progress locally or reset it, here is the save file location for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Save File

The save files for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 can be found in the following location on PC:

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Call of Duty\players\[UNIQUE ID]\sp24

In the case of Steam, the sp24 folder contains a save file. Since Call of Duty is essentially part of the same launcher now, it’s a bit hard to pin down the save files specific to this release for both clients. The “players” folder contains most of your data, including configuration files, as well as the save files.

However, if you’re playing on the Game Pass version through the Xbox App, the save files in particular are likely encrypted, as these don’t show up here. If you want to back up your data, we recommend moving the entire “players” folder, just in case. If you want to reset your progress, you can delete the “Call of Duty” folder entirely, but it will likely reset your graphics settings, and in-game preferences as well.

Faster Navigation

To quickly navigate to the same location, you can use Windows Run. To bring up Run, press the Windows and R keys together.

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Call of Duty\players\

This will take you to the same location as well, and we recommend backing up the “players” folder.

Does Call of Duty Black Ops 6 have Steam Cloud Support?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 does not have Steam Cloud support, but it does support cloud saves, thanks to the Activision account. Players can also create and delete save files from the campaign menu.

After you’re done with the campaign, make sure to check out the best run and gun build for Black Ops 6 multiplayer. You can also get some in-game loot through the limited Twitch drops campaign.
