Factorio 2.0 might be one of the most complicated games anyone will ever play. Both beginner and veteran players will experience nuisances, and while they may not be as game-changing or impactful, a simple mod can fix all those annoying circumstances. Some mods give quality-of-life features, while some mods are just straight-up fun and borderline unfair. Nevertheless, adding different types of mods depends on the player, and here are some of the best mods for Factorio 2.0 if you are thinking of adding some to your playthrough.
Best Factorio 2.0 Mods | Factorio Space Age
Informatron
Earendel’s Informatron is a simple mod that gives you a “better” information directory for almost everything in Factorio. After installing the mod, you can open the directory by pressing “I,” and it’ll make your life way easier, especially if you are a new player.
Jetpack
Earendel’s Jetpack is a quality-of-life mod that helps the player traverse obstacles that are annoying to deal with. For example, if you start dealing with piping, you’ll start to create pipelines to production buildings, closing off sections for you to cross. With the Jetpack mod, you can easily overcome any obstacle so you don’t get stopped by annoying obstacles while building your factory.
AAI Industry
Earendel’s AAI Industry adds a little more flavor to the early game by introducing more “burner” buildings like a Burner Assembling Machine or a Burner Turbine. Most of these will be powered by fuel instead of electricity, which extends the early game to a more even pace before hitting steam power. You’ll also work with new intermediate products like Electric Motors and Single-Cylinder Engines.

Bob’s Adjustable Inserters
Bobingabout’s Bob’s Adjustable Inserters is probably one of the more “unfair” mods on the list. The mod gives the inserter the power to pick up any item in a 5×5 grid range and place it specifically in any spot on that grid range. While it does take a while to learn, the mod or tech allows you to make your factories more compact because these inserters will help production lines run much more smoothly.
Milestones
Wiwiweb’s Milestones is a fun mod that just tracks your progress. When you start creating factories and automating more advanced products, it is interesting to see how fast you were able to reach the “X” milestone. While there isn’t any competition, it is still fun to know, or maybe you can even compete with yourself.
Disco Science
Danielbrauer’s Disco Science is an awesome mod that aesthetically improves the look of your research lab. Not only does it look better, but you’ll also see what color is being researched in your labs when you start producing multiple research science packs or potions. For players who like to create a factory specifically for labs, this will help you identify what color of science packs you are lacking through a fun little light show.
Teleporters
Klonan’s Teleporters gives players the ability to… teleport. While that seems like an unfair advantage for those players who just want to build the best factory possible, cutting those travel times will make things a lot easier. You can place multiple teleporters around the world and travel in an instant.
