Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon – All Relics And How To Get Them

The Dark Horizon DLC offers some of Remnant 2's best relics, but obtaining them requires serious effort—are you ready for it?

In Remnant 2 The Dark Horizon, two new relics, the Gossamer Heart and the Latent Relic, can be found, but they aren’t easy to obtain. You’ll need to play through a significant portion of the DLC and put in some effort to collect them. In this guide, we have given a complete breakdown of how you can get all relics in Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon DLC.

1. How to Get Gossamer Heart Relic

In order to get the Gossamer Heart Relic, you will first need to get the Crop Sample in N’Erud. For this, you must have installed The Dark Horizon content, as this is a DLC-exclusive quest item.

To get the Crop Sample, you will need to progress and reach the Detritus Foundry area. There is a circular room in this section of the map where you can find the Crop Sample. Below this circular room, you will find another room and to reach it you must take the elevator that connects both rooms.

After reaching the lower level, you will find two statues, Red and Blue. Plant the Crop Sample at the Blue Statue and reload the dungeon, progress the DLC story or kill a boss, and then return to this location to get the reward. The reward you get from this endeavor is the Gossamer Heart Relic.

Once equipped, the Gossamer Heart Relic increases the evade window by one frame. However, when you use this relic, you get increased evade window bonus frames by two more frames for the next 15 seconds.

2. How to Get Latent Heart

The Dark Horizon DLC in Remnant 2 can be accessed via the One Shot Adventure Mode or without it. While the former method guarantees you can access most, if not all, of the DLC content in a single, a few collectibles are reserved for the latter mode, and Latent Heart Relic is one of these.

To get the Latent Heart, you should not start the DLC with One Shot Adventure Mode. After that, when your character falls to the ground from the lift in a cutscene, you will notice a room with purple lights right near it. This area will be inaccessible during the One-Shot but not in the regular mode.

Next, check that the room is missing two devices. If there are more or fewer missing devices, you’ll need to reroll the run until only two are missing.

Once this happens and you see two devices missing on the panels, know that the map now has two optional dungeons to explore for you called Dormant N’erudian Facility and Terminus Station.

Now, these two dungeons must be found by exploring the rerolled world, and inside them, you will find the missing devices required for the panels. If this were to be found inside the One-Shot mode, the world leveling would have been fixed, and we could have provided you with how to reach these two dungeons. However, the world generation is random in regular mode, so we can’t provide exact locations for these dungeons.

Explore Dormant N’erudian Facility to get Memory Core 2

When you enter the Dormant N’erudian Facility, you will find a locked door near the World Stone at the very start. The key to this door is inside this dungeon.

Continue exploring the dungeon by reaching out to its far left sides and you will eventually reach a spot with a small opening so you can drop down. Next, continue exploring and you will reach an elevator that takes you up to the control room inside it you will find Biome-Control Glyph.

Now bring the Biome-Control Glyph key back to the World Stone right at the beginning of this dungeon. Insert the key, unlock the door, and grab the Memory Core 2 item.

Explore Terminus Station to get Decorum Cipher

Once you arrive at Terminus Station, proceed to board the train. As the train moves, you’ll need to clear each car by defeating enemies. After progressing through a few cars, you’ll reach a World Shard, which allows you to save your progression so far.

Near the World Shard, you’ll notice some hanging cables and a small space you can crouch through. Crawl through this opening, then climb the ladder to reach the next section. On your left, you’ll see a hole in one of the train cars. Enter through this hole, and you should find the Decorum Cipher item behind you.

After collecting both required items, return them to the spot where they need to be inserted, as we mentioned earlier in this guide. Each item deactivates a purple shield blocking your path. Once both shields are down, you’ll be able to grab the Repair Tool Hand Gun and the Latent Heart in Remnant 2.

When the Latent Heart Relic is activated, your character absorbs 95 percent of incoming damage for the first five seconds. After the effect ends, the wearer takes 10 percent of the absorbed damage per second over the next 10 seconds.
