How to Open the Chamber and Rescue the Hostages in the Regalith Grand Cathedral

When you start your chase against the Necromancer, you’ll go through all his risen minions in the cathedral. Your main task is to pursue the Necromancer, but after meeting the pompous girl, you kind of want to save the hostages, hoping she would join your cause in the future.

As you explore the cathedral, you’ll eventually find the chamber where the hostages are locked inside. You can hear their cries from outside the door. It is next to the stairs in the Prayer Chamber. To open the door and save the hostages, you must find the Chamber Room Key.

The whole cathedral is enormous, but the key location is relatively close to the locked chamber room.

Chamber Room Key Location in the Regalith Grand Cathedral

The Chamber Room Key is below the locked chamber room. Go down the staircase next to the room. Once you get down to the bottom floor, head straight and go inside the first room on your right. You’ll see another small room inside with a sleeping foe. Go to the corner by the stand and pick up the Chamber Room Key.

If you approach the sleeping foe, your party will tell you to be careful. If you go closer, you’ll get a dialogue to either stay away from the foe or “Oops, my hand…” Choosing the hand dialogue will obviously wake up the enemy, and you’ll get to fight a bunch of enemies. It is good if you need more experience to level up. If you are also increasing your luck attribute, you can get more item rewards from more encounters so fighting this enemy will be more beneficial.

What Happens After Rescuing the Hostages in the Cathedral?

After rescuing the hostages, you’ll try to find the pompous girl’s friend, but sadly… the friend suffered a cruel fate. However, Catherina is still grateful for everything you have done, and you’ll unlock a new bond with her, giving you the Brawler archetype. You can now switch other characters to the Brawler archetype in the Akademia.

Catherina does hint that maybe she’ll see you in the future and she’ll help out then. Other than the new bond, there’s nothing else but to take down Zorba, the Necromancer.
