Echoes are the most essential part of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Zelda is armed with more traditional weapons like Link’s sword and bow, but they are only temporary. Her main methods of attack, defense, and exploration all come from Echoes. Unfortunately, you can only summon a few Echoes at the beginning. Here’s how to summon more Echoes in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
How to Get More Echoes in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
You can summon more Echoes by clearing rifts in Echoes of Wisdom. When you clear a Rift, Zelda’s companion, Tri, levels up. Sometimes, leveling up gives Tri the power to summon more Echoes at once. Other times, it reduces the cost of your existing Echoes.
The land of Hyrule is dotted with deep purple Rifts in Echoes of Wisdom. These Rifts are portals leading to another dimension called the Still World. If you want to summon more Echoes, you will have to venture into these Rifts to close them.
Several Rifts will be completed naturally as you progress through the story, right before you complete each dungeon, like the Suthorn Ruins dungeon. Other smaller Rifts are optional. If you want to level Tri up and get as many Echoes as possible, focus on clearing out all of the smaller Rifts as well as the larger dungeon ones. You can find Rifts on the map by looking for the large purple voids.
To enter the Rift, scan the perimeter until you find a small yellow dot. Interact with it so Tri can turn it into a portal that you can jump into.
How Do Echoes Work in Echoes of Wisdom?
Tri has a tail of triangles that follow it wherever it goes. The number of triangles on Tri’s tail dictates the amount of Echoes you can summon at once. The more triangles Tri has, the more Echoes you can summon.
In addition to that, each Echo has a different cost. Most exploration Echoes will only cost you one triangle, allowing you to summon multiples. Other more powerful Echoes, like Lynels or Darknuts, for example, will cost three or more triangles.
