Kid Icarus Stage Introduced for Super Smash Bros.

Fight like gods – or just look like you one.

The world of Kid Icarus has grown quite a bit over the past few years, culminating with the breathtaking 3DS adventure Kid Icarus: Uprising. Now, that world will soon crash down into Nintendo’s forthcoming Super Smash Bros. game.

Game director Masahiro Sakurai has revealed the latest game world to be included in both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game, and it’s straight out of Kid Icarus. The stage features various items from Icarus’ world, including a statue of the Goddess of Light and a coliseum in the background.

“You can find this statue of the Goddess of Light in one of the stages,” said Sakurai. “She’s watching over the arena.”

More will be revealed from the game soon, leading up to its release sometime this year.
