The game is called Evolve, and it’s the latest project from the developers of the Left 4 Dead series. In it, four solders will team up together to hunt a large alien character, who can be controlled by a fifth player. Where soldiers will have an advantage with various weapons and tools, the monster will be able to, well, evolve – hence the title – by increasing its size and strength.

Evolve will feature both competitive and cooperative multiplayer elements, and will be released for the next-gen systems and well as PC later this year.

More details should be released around E3 time, including who’s publishing the game, but for now, you can check out the cover in all its glory, and a few other details, over at Game Informer.
