Nintendo eShop Update Brings Sega Classics, Double Dragon and More

There's plenty to download heading into mid-December.

Nintendo has released its weekly update for the eShop for both the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U, and it’s chock full of great games, no matter which way you go.

Leading the charge for both 3DS and Wii U is the NES classic Double Dragon ($4.99 each), a brawler that levels you up as you beat up more and more thugs. Ask any NES fan how much of a classic this is, and you’ll see why you need to pick it up.

Also out for Wii U is Rush, an innovative cube-shaped platforming puzzle game with dozens of stages to complete and a unique art style.

Over on the 3DS, two new 3D Sega classics have been released – the adventure game Ecco the Dolphin and the space shooter Galaxy Force II. Both utilize the system’s 3D effects quite well.

Other games available include the 3DS action game AeternoBlade, Jump Trials Supreme, Life With Horses 3D, My Style Studio: Hair Salon and Orion’s Odyssey. Also, if you haven’t checked out the shooter Nano Assault EX, there’s a demo version available to check out.

Happy downloading!
