Gearbox Preparing Christmas-Oriented Content For Borderlands 2

Prepare for the story of "How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day."

Last month, Gearbox Software gave us a piece of Thanksgiving related DLC for Borderlands 2 that really stuck with us, especially considering that we were hunting down a gigantic mutant turkey. For Christmas, it’s definitely following suit with its latest Headhunter DLC for the game, How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day.

In the DLC, you’ll take on angry snowmen in the snowy village of Gingerton, while Marcus, the main hero of the DLC, goes looking for his missing guns. As a Vault Hunter, you’ll join in his quest while taking on enemies, including the dastardly Abominable Mister Tinder Snowflake. Defeating him will allow you to use a snowman head for your character.

On top of that, Gearbox has also thrown in an original holiday version of “Carol of the Bells,” sung by the bandits. Clearly, it’s Christmas time in Borderlands.

How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day will release on December 17th for $2.99 for PC/Steam, Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. Unless you’re a Grinch, you won’t want to miss this.

Borderlands 2 is available now for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
