Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace is Live | Buy & Sell Items Now

Ubisoft taking notes from Steam.

Ubisoft has released its most significant feature for its massively popular competitive game, Rainbow Six Siege, which has nothing to do with the gameplay. Ubisoft’s R6S Marketplace is live, and players can now buy and sell most of their skins and cosmetics, including the ones players received as early as the first season. Here’s everything you need to know about Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace.

What is the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace?

The Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace allows all the “active” Rainbow Six Siege players to buy and sell their skins on Ubisoft’s official website for R6 Credits. Firstly, access is given to players who have reached Clearance Level 25 and have the two-step verification active on their account. The Clearance level just means that you have to play a few matches of Rainbow Six Siege to get the level.

Secondly, it doesn’t include all skins, especially the Elite skins you purchased from the R6S store. However, there’s still a significant number of skins available on the marketplace, such as headgear, weapon skins, charms, uniforms, and more.

All the marketable skins will be searchable in the marketplace, and you’ll be able to see the number of purchase and selling orders for the item. The prices of the items are determined by supply and demand.

What is the Currency Used in the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace?

As all Rainbow Six Siege veterans know, the game has two currencies: Renown and R6S Credits. Renown is gained through finishing missions and just playing the matches, while R6S Credits are only received through paid Battle Passes or purchased with real money through the in-game store.

The currency being used in the marketplace will be R6S Credits. This is extremely significant because players can get skins by opening loot packs in the game using Renown and selling them for premium currency. R6S Credits can buy everything in the in-game store, including the premium Battle Pass.

Because of the marketplace, players can now buy everything from the Rainbow Six Siege store by just playing the game. Luck is still involved, especially since you need to get the most wanted skins out there with each new pack.

Those who have saved up thousands of Renown and attained hundreds of skins can finally use up all their unused skins and buy those elusive Elite bundles or even those collaboration bundles like Resident Evil, Nier Automata, Rick and Morty, and many others.

For players who just recently picked up the game, you can also buy Operators with R6S Credits to speed up your roster completion. However, you can also buy these Operators using Renown. So, if you don’t care about any cosmetics, that’s the only time you use R6S Credits to buy Operators.
