Sony Releases Nostalgic PlayStation Memories Video

Before it hops into the future next month, the company looks back on its past.

It’s hard to believe that Sony Computer Entertainment has been in the video game console business for 18 years. It got its start with the original PlayStation in 1995, before eventually moving on through two new models of the system and various handhelds. Now, before the release of its PlayStation 4, it’s decided to look back upon these PlayStation Memories.

Inspired by the #playstationmemories hashtag, the three-minute video looks back at how gaming used to be, and how far it’s come over the years. The original PlayStation is highlighted first, followed by the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and, eventually, the PlayStation 4 and Killzone: Shadow Fall. Anyone who grew up with Sony’s consoles – you know who you are – deserves to give the video a look below.

The PlayStation 4 hits U.S. store shelves on November 15th.
