It’s not often you get to see a custodian become a crime fighter – and no, the Toxic Avenger doesn’t count.

With Dustforce, you’ll be able to clean up the streets with a janitor who knows a thing or two about sweeping crime under the carpet. He studies the “Custodial Arts,” which enables him to bounce off walls and put together some swift combo attacks against his adversaries. In addition, friends can jump in for ranked and private multiplayer matches, as well as matching their mop-swinging stats through online leaderboards. You can check out the debut trailer for Dustforce below.

Capcom will bring out the game, produced by the team at Hitbox, this January for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC/Steam. If you’re at New York Comic Con this weekend, you can stop by Capcom’s booth and go hands-on with it, along with the previously announced Strider.

We’ll have a strategic preview for you soon – just as soon as we find our broom.
