How to Get Pearls in Hades 2

Down at the bottom of the ocean.

Some resources in Hades 2, such as Pearls, are much harder to come by than other minerals because of their rarity. Despite that, they’re still important to collect to ensure further upgrades to unlock. Here is how to get Pearls in Hades 2.

Hades 2 players can get a Pearl by defeating Scylla and her band of Sirens, the final boss of the game’s second area called Oceanus. It is right after the first region of Erebus, after defeating the Headmistress Hecate.

Players will have to go through the first area and all of the rooms in the second area to get to Scylla in each run. That can be very daunting to players at first since defeating Scylla will reward with only one Pearl. That means having to play the game long enough and be comfortable getting to that point easily to net multiple resources.

The fight can be difficult the first few times because the band consists of three members who are almost always attacking with homing projectiles and area-of-effect attacks. The singer, guitarist, and drummer can all take damage and share one giant health bar between them. Focus on one member at a time to take them out and lessen the amount of fire on the field.

Thankfully, the Pearl is only needed for a couple of specific upgrades that players will see later in the game and should already have amassed a surplus of Pearls. This includes the Aspect of Momus for the Witch’s Staff and the Aspect of Charon for the Moonstone Axe.

The biggest upgrade that uses Pearls is the Abyssal Insight Incantation, which unlocks the Chaos Trials system. This tailors your run with a specific loadout and other modifiers to earn Star Dust, a resource necessary for Arcana Cards and Animal Familiars.
