The Best Way to Beat Warrick the Torn in No Rest for the Wicked

Warrick the Torn has an extremely erratic fighting pattern that will be hard to learn from the get-go. Every lunge and swing is usually followed by another attack, which can be hard to predict in the heat of battle. This specific boss is known for launching flurries of attacks and catching an opponent off guard.

Despite the monster’s size, Warrick the Torn is extremely quick, which makes its relentless barrages even more dangerous. But there is one easy way to defeat him, and you won’t even need to stress about throwing items, using blade oils, or possibly healing yourself.

Warrick the Torn has two major stages: the first stage where the monster attacks with swinging strikes, and the second stage at half-health where the boss shouts and starts including jumping strikes into its barrages. You will only need to worry about dodging its jumping strikes by rolling in the opposite direction and parrying the monster’s initial attacks. Here’s exactly how to beat Warrick the Torn.

  • Stage One: When you walk into the boss arena, Warrick the Torn will charge at you and strike you with a swinging attack. You must parry the monster’s attack to stagger it, and then keep on attacking while it’s down. Repeat this parry with the next attack and make sure to time it well. Don’t get cocky when it’s staggered. Make sure to move away after one or two attacks to prepare for the next parry.
  • Stage Two: After Warrick the Torn reaches around half of its health, it will let out a battle cry. Before this happens, give yourself time to move away before the monster shouts, as the shockwave can push you back. Once Warrick the Torn has stopped shouting, the monster will begin jumping and striking you down from above. All you have to do is dodge the jump impact and continue to parry the monster’s attack at the right time, and repeat this process until the boss is dead, and it’s done.

We suggest using a double-handed claymore; although heavy and sluggish, it packs a punch and it doesn’t hinder you from evading in time. Your weight does make it hard for you to dodge attacks, but if you parry well, you shouldn’t be worried at all. Parrying is the easiest way to beat this monster and dodging only prolongs the fight and gives Warrick the Torn more chances to attack.

And that’s all there is to beating Warrick the Torn. Feel free to read some of our news articles, guides, and lists about No Rest for the Wicked for more information.
