Wii Sports Games Return to Wii U With Online Multiplayer This November

Welcome to the Club.

There’s no question that one of the most popular games for Nintendo’s Wii system was Wii Sports, a game that utilizes simple motions through the Wii remote and applied them to various sporting activities, including bowling, baseball and golf.

Today, the company announced these classic activities will return, this time in high-definition for the Wii U. In Wii Sports Club, players will be able to access the five original Wii Sports activities – bowling, tennis, baseball, boxing and golf – using enhanced Wii MotionPlus controls, as well as online multiplayer.

The game will also feature chat through state and regional clubs within the game, through the social MiiVerse feature. This will set up rivalry competitions, and also allow players to practice with one another to make their particular clubs better.

Wii Sports Club’s first two activities, tennis and bowling, will release as digital downloads on November 7th, with the other games coming in the following months. These activities will be available with a 24-hour trial period. Following that, users can either pay $1.99 per day for access, or $9.99 for full access to each game.

Welcome back, Wii Sports!
