It doesn’t look like you’ll have to wait long to find out. The company announced today that the game will be available as a free digital download through its eShop starting November 1st, and features a one-month trial period where you can experience its various activities at no charge. This period begins when you first start up the game.

After that, if you want to keep the game, you simply need to buy a Fit Meter, which will be available in both black and silver colors starting on the same day as the game’s release, November 1st. It’ll set you back $19.99.

The trial will run through January 31, 2014. As an option, you can wait to purchase the full game at retail on December 13th, or through the eShop on February 1, 2014, if you somehow miss the trial.

If you’re in the mood to get in shape, Wii Fit U is certainly worth checking out.
