Should You Take Oksana’s Bribe in Honkai: Star Rail?

War never changes

Not all dreams are sweet and colorful in Penacony, and Honkai: Star Rail makes sure to let us know about that with its many sidequests featuring the daily life of its citizens. One example is Oskana’s Emo Dial quest where she tries to bribe you to let her go freely. So, should you take Oksana’s Bribe in Honkai: Star Rail?

Honkai: Star Rail: Should You Bring Justice to Oksana or Let Her Go?

You can start the Clockwork: Oksana quest by heading to Clock Studios Theme Park, at the Screening Area Entrance space anchor. Use a Happy Gear to start her quest and she’ll first ask you to help her deliver her “toys” to her client. Yup, it’s your average smuggler fetch quest, but in space! The item in question is located at the Theme Park itself and its description clearly shows that it’s more than it looks like.

Your suspicions only grow bigger as you finish your delivery at Golden Hour after speaking with the client. Once you try to confront Oksana for the truth, you eavesdrop on her talking about the true nature of her “toys”. She doesn’t deny her item’s true nature as weapons, but you still feel like she’s hiding something. Once you confront the Strange Woman she was talking with, she confirms that Oksana fuels both sides with weapons and thrives on sparking conflicts all around the galaxy.

When you confront her for a final time, Oksana claims that profits are her final goal and they’ll justify anything she does. At last, she gives you a final choice for taking a sum of money and letting her go. This choice will influence the final result of this quest.

Deny Oksana’s Offer

By picking “You can keep your filthy blood money”, the Trailblazer loses its patience with the warmonger, but the Bloodhound agent Woolsey intervenes before the situation scales further. Oksana is detained and will suffer the consequences for her acts. You get the Lord of War achievement for bringing her to justice.

Accept Oksana’s Offer And Let Her Go

If you choose “That’s what I meant” instead, she bribes you with 20,000 Credits. But after leaving her, you start to question your only morality for letting her go, and can either inform Woolsey about her or leave the area behind and pretend you didn’t see anything. Teleport to any other area in Penacony (or even another planet) to finish the quest and get the Dishonored Legacy achievement. You’ll be able to see her around the Theme Park in the future if you pick this route.

Accept Oksana’s Offer And Snitch on Her

If after accepting her offer and getting the credits, you still feel like she needs to be punished, teleport to Woolsey near the entrance of the Theme Park and tell him about Oksana. She’ll be arrested in a similar way to how she was before, and you get the Better Late Than Never for bringing her to (delayed) justice.

These achievements are all mutually exclusive, so you can only get one of them, and they all give the same Stellar Jades. But if we’re speaking about sheer rewards, you should deny her offer and let her be arrested as soon as possible. Despite getting some free credits out of her and then having her arrested seems like the best outcome, the reward you get from getting her arrested ASAP is actually 10,000 Credits bigger than the “take the bribe” path, even when accounting for the bribe itself.

In other words, you get better rewards for doing the right thing at the right time. Of course, 10,000 credits isn’t much, so you’re free to just pick whichever path you want. But when looking for min-maxing, this is the best option by far. Your other rewards will always be the same no matter what, and you always get a new achievement to boast as the cherry on top.
