Having the ability to tweak a game to your exact specifications is one of my favorite things about the newest generation of consoles and Rise of the Ronin is ready to help players make the ultimate choice. Which graphics options are available, and which should you choose?
Which Graphics Option Should You Pick in Rise of the Ronin?
It appears that Rise of the Ronin is all about customization, in a way. From selectable difficulty options to selectable Graphics offerings, players can tweak this title to perform exactly as they would like it. At launch, there are three available Graphics modes that you can select from:
- Graphics
- Performance
- Ray Tracing
It has been shown that Performance aims for and hits a targeted 60FPS, whereas Graphics and Ray Tracing mode may lean toward a targeted 60FPS with drops along the way. If it’s anything like Wo-Long: Fallen Dynasty on consoles, however, we can expect a fairly comparable offering between these two modes — I’ll happily take a 60FPS target on a high-intensity action game like this over 30FPS and highly detailed visuals.
Since Team Ninja is focusing on only the PlayStation 5, we can hope that means that we’ll receive not only good visuals alongside solid performance that pushes the console to its limits. Thankfully, their previous attempt at bringing a Souls-like to an open-world setting on consoles was pretty great, so we can only hope that the same type of love and care is put into this period piece. You can find our thoughts about Wo-Long: Fallen Dynasty here.
