How to Mantle in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

Parkour!

Mobility has always been important in Fortnite but has become even more so in the past few years with the introduction of Zero Build. Mantling is one of the underrated aspects of movement in the game, so here is how to do it.

Fortnite players can mantle by running up against chest-high wall or high ledge and pressing the Jump button. Doing this will make your character reach over and propel themselves forward or up past the obstacle.

The in-game prompt is listed as Hurdle, but it is the same thing. While players can jump over a chest-high wall, it can be faster to mantle in high-pressure situations where you want to be quick and not float in the air for too long.

How to Mantle in Different Named Locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2

One of the first Weekly Quests of the season requires players to Mantle in different Named Locations. It is located under the Week 0 banner in the Weekly Quests tab, and rewards players with 10,000 XP.

The Named Locations are simply spots on the map that are major locations. These places are named directly on the map, so long as the player has visited the area before. There are 13 Named Locations on the map in Chapter 5, Season 2, with some returning from the previous season. The 13 locations are:

  • Brawler’s Battleground
  • Classy Courts
  • Fencing Fields
  • Grand Glacier
  • Grim Gates
  • Lavish Lair
  • Mount Olympus
  • Pleasant Piazza
  • Rebel’s Roost
  • Reckless Railways
  • Restored Reels
  • Snooty Steppes
  • The Underworld

Make sure you are within any of the above locations when you mantle over a wall or object. Players will have to mantle once in five different locations on the list in order to complete the Weekly Quest for a nice XP boost for the season.
