Mega Man Gets Custom Nintendo 3DS/3DS XL Case

If you're a fan, you should probably pick this up once it releases on the Capcom-Unity page.

Just because Mega Man doesn’t have a new game coming out anytime soon doesn’t mean that Capcom has forgotten about him.  Quite the opposite actually.

The company has announced that it is releasing a special custom case for the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL that will let Mega Man fans put their game system into a customized silver and blue set-up.  Featuring an image of 8-bit Mega Man on the front and a Mega Man 25th Anniversary logo on the back, the system offers a sleek look for your handheld system and protection from any drops or damage.

The introduction of such a case shouldn’t be a surprise, as Capcom had previous success with a Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate model that sold out quickly in its shop.  It’s already confirmed that more are on the way, so if you missed out the first time around you can make amends soon.

You can see more images of the case on the official Capcom-Unity blog. Though an on-sale date hasn’t been announced yet, it’s expected to release soon and will be available during Comic-Con in July.

Don’t forget to pick up the classic Mega Man games on the 3DS’ Virtual Console service either!
