The Xbox 360 has seen its fair share of applications over the years from being able to watch live ESPN games to watching our favorite movies and TV shows with Netflix and Flixster. But we ask, “What good is all that if we can’t even eat?”
Microsoft is changing that today. The company has announced that it has launched a new app that ties in with fast food chain Pizza Hut allowing users to order their favorite pies through the convenience of their game console. The app is also Kinect enabled, so you don’t even have to worry about pushing buttons when it comes to placing an order and selecting your favorite toppings. The app is free of charge, though you’ll still have to pay for the pizza.
“We’re always looking at ways to give our audience more of what they’re interested in,” said Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb, speaking with the folks at Polygon. “If you look at our audience, they love pizza. I mean, who doesn’t? It has international appeal, and Pizza Hut is a recognized brand that matches up well with the Xbox brand.”
Now if only there was a way to pay for your pizza with Microsoft points…
Download the app now on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
