How to Farm Bright Dust During Destiny 2’s Dawning Event

Grandma's generosity has no limits

Destiny 2’s Dawning event is a great time to stock up on festive rewards and new weapons, but it’s also a fantastic time to build your Bright Dust nest egg. Here’s how to take advantage of Grandma Eva’s generosity and make bank.

Destiny 2 The Dawning ‘Additional Bounties’ Bright Dust Farm

First, complete Eva’s introductory quest in the Tower, then stock up on Additional Bounties: these repeatable bounties grant 10 Bright Dust per completion. This might not sound like much, but since they require only the baking of a single cookie each, they add up quickly.

If you’ve masterworked your oven (by completing all the recipes at least once), one cookie requires 10 Essence of Dawning. This is along with the regularly required ingredients, of course. Essentially, once you’ve stocked up on enough Essence and ingredients, you can spam these ‘Additional Bounties’ for hundreds and thousands of Bright Dust over the course of the event.

For a guide to all recipes during the event, check the guide below. I’d highly recommend completing one of each before you do anything else since it takes the required Essence per cookie down from 15 to 10.

Unlocking Dawning Bounties

If you aren’t yet at a place where you can purchase bounties from Eva, don’t fret. The steps are as simple as visiting Eva in the Tower, baking a “free” cookie for Zavala, then turning it in. Once you’ve done this brief introductory quest, you can find the oven in your quest tab, seen below.

Farming Essence of Dawning can be as simple or as difficult as you want it to be. I’d suggest passively collecting it, but if you want a more rigorous methodology pop over to our Essence of Dawning farm guide.
