How to Craft Arrows in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

The tool of any resistance on Pandora!

One of the first weapons you receive in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is the bow, and it will remain with you as a vital tool in the fight against the RDA throughout the entire game. But to stay in the battle, you must learn to craft more arrows in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

How to Craft More Arrows in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

To craft arrows in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you first must gather the appropriate resources from Archers Thicket, then hold down ‘Q’ on the keyboard to open the weapon select screen. From here, choose the desired weapon, in this case, one of your bows, and hold down ‘F’ to craft the selected type of arrow. If you’re using a controller, hold down ‘Left Bumper‘ to open the weapon wheel, and then hold ‘X‘ to craft arrows.

The game will automatically draw the necessary resources from your inventory and stock up your ammunition.

You will receive two bows in the game: the Long Bow and the Heavy Bow. You will likely use the former more often, as it’s a versatile and powerful weapon capable of hitting hard and fast. It’s my go-to for taking down RDA Outposts. Both have unique ammunition, all requiring essential resources to craft additional arrows.

But one of the most valuable resources you will gather on Pandora is wood from the Archers Thicket plant. It’s one of the first gatherable flora you will encounter in the game, as it’s used as a teaching moment after the prologue.

You always want to scoop some up when you’re wandering the world.

The Best Arrows for Every Situation

As previously mentioned, both bows in the game have unique arrows that prove more than ideal for specific situations. To help you narrow down such situations:

  • Arrows: The mainstay of any bow and arrow build, the regular arrow is fast-firing and robust, making it the ideal go-to for any Na’vi. It takes far more arrows to take down an AMP Suit with regular arrows compared to the heavy arrows, but the ability to fire quickly and move makes up for any downsides.
  • Heavy Arrows: If you take the time to time your shot carefully and draw the string back to power up each shot, the heavy arrows seriously damage both airborne and ground units, especially RDA AMP Suits.
  • Flame Arrows: I’ve used this in numerous situations but find they’re best against small groups of unarmored enemies, like ground units. They can help stagger an RDA AMP Suit, but they usually brush off the flames briefly.

Alongside a stock of arrows, you might also want to equip cosmetics to your bow to show off your style on Pandora!
