How to Unlock The Sign of the Cat Achievement in Death Must Die

A very dangerous cat

Each playable character in Death Must Die has its own page of exclusive achievements, which are unlocked the more you play and complete these challenges with them. But Avoron has the infamous The Sign of the Cat achievement, which is confusing but really easy to unlock.

How to Get The Sign of the Cat in Death Must Die

To get The Sign of the Cat, you must die nine times as Avoron. That’s it. The “cat” mentioned in the description is none other than Avoron himself, and all you gotta do is die a few times to get an achievement and a very good passive ability.

You must actually die to get the achievement, so entering the pool and immediately hitting “End run” won’t count for it. But you can AFK and let enemies kill you early if you just want to get it as soon as possible because committing to nine different runs could definitely be time-consuming.

The Sign of the Cat will be unlocked on the Campfire, where you can select it as Avoron sign before heading to a new run. It gives him eight revives, so you actually become a cat! This is one of the best ways to guarantee you can clear at least once, even though other signs are better, offensively speaking.

I’d recommend unlocking it naturally as you keep trying new runs, especially since repetition is one of the game’s main points. You might even get some unexpected clears here and there, so use these nine different chances to test out some good builds! Or just unlock it already; no one will judge you. There are plenty of characters to chase for and unlock, so you can’t afford to be locked on the same one for that long.
