With dozens of characters to choose from and new ones arriving every couple of weeks, Genshin Impact has introduced many powerful, extremely powerful, and not-so-powerful figures during its many years of existence. Here’s a list of some of the best members you can bring to your team.

Genshin Impact Tier List (Updated for 4.3)
Before we start, it should be clear that while certain units are superior to others in certain aspects, all characters are viable in some way or another. Picking S-tiers will probably help you clear Spiral Abyss faster, but nothing stops you from getting 36 stars with a bunch of lower-tier ones.
Characters listed here are generally considered the best for most situations, but sometimes the difference between an A-tier and an S-tier is being able to do the same thing with bigger flashy numbers. Both will clear the same content, but one of them does it slightly faster.
A character’s worth could also drastically change according to new introductions like Artifact sets, weapons, dedicated supports, and other features. Enemies with bleeding made healers like Kokomi more valuable, and the introduction of Dendro brought a huge glow-up to many Electro characters, for example.
Main DPS – The team’s main star who stays on-field most of the time. You usually build your team all around them.
Sub-DPS – Deals a significant portion of the team’s damage by themselves, but isn’t necessarily the de-facto carry. May also be a support.
Support – Bring buffs to the team or debuffs to enemies without having to deal much damage. But when they do, they overlap with Sup-DPS. May also be a healer.
Healer – Self-explanatory. Sometimes they have offensive/supportive capabilities, and those are usually the best choices.
S-Tier
You can’t go wrong with those characters. The best members you can bring are here, but sometimes they’ll only shine in the correct teams.

B-Tier
You’ll probably see many of them in high-end teams, but sometimes they’re just cheaper alternatives to similar, more powerful units. Nothing stops them from being at the top, though.
