Genshin Impact 4.2 Update Promises Many Quality-Of-Life Fixes for Trounce Domains and Story Quests

So anything about fixing that resin cap? No? Okay

Travelers will have a lot to look forward to come Genshin Impact’s 4.2 update, which will feature several quality-of-life fixes when it comes to Trounce Domains, Maps, and accessing Story Quests.

The more important discussion from the developers is that the player participating in Trounce Domains, commonly referred to as the World Bosses such as Stormterror, Childe, and the Raiden Shogun, will now be able to quick challenge these bosses without having to complete their required quests. Through the Adventurer Handbook, players must have reached Adventure Rank 40 to be able to challenge that specific boss in order to get the necessary materials to level up their characters.

However, it does appear that this will not unlock the domain through the World Map, so players will have to complete the quest to be able to teleport to Trounce Domains, but they will no longer be locked away and unaccessible. For example, players will now be able to challenge Apep Guardian through the Adventure Handbook without having to complete Nahida’s Story Quest, but they will not be able to teleport to that Trouen Domain through the world map.

Another upcoming feature is Story Quest System Optimization, something that the game has already been dabbling in with the Suspend Quest Function. Players have had issues with quests conflicting with one another, so from 4.2 and onwards, the quests will have options to Accept when players are ready to actively play them, even once they are unlocked. This will hopefully prevent players from being unable to access certain quests when there are characters that are busy filling out their roles in other active or ongoing story quests going on in the player’s world.

4.2 will also introduce the extension of Map Pins that you can have on your map. This will allow you to flex further and add to your usual fishing and mining spots now that the world continues to expand. Map Pins will be extended to 200, and players will also be able to select a batch of pins and delete them en masse. Now, you can return to Enkanomiya and start mass-deleting all of those pins since you’ll likely never visit that area again.

Lastly, in Genius Invokation TCG, animations for the dice rolls, round hints, and other interfaces such as turns, will now be accelerated. Players will no longer have to wait too long for the game to complete or for the game to load in the animations for dice rolls, card choices, and other aspects of TCG.

Although this is only a small batch of fixes that will be coming in 4.2, the developers are hard at work to try to make the game cleaner bit by bit.
