Resident Evil 6 Getting New Downloadable Multiplayer Modes Shortly After Release

Get ready for Survivors, Predator and Siege modes!

Resident Evil 6 is less than one month from its release. While we wait for Capcom’s feverishly hot zombie shooting action/adventure game, we can tell you about three new downloadable multiplayer modes that Capcom will be adding down the road.

The three modes – Survivors, Predator and Siege – will support up to six players online and will also support full stat support through ResidentEvil.net, so you can compare your performance with others.

In Survivor Mode, you’ll take on a whole new version of the classic versus mode, where you’ll have to fight for your life or be forced to join the monsters once you’re killed. There’s a catch however: if you successfully kill two humans, you become human yourself. Awesome.

The second mode called Predator has one player taking on the role of the Ustanak, a deadly B.O.W. that stalks Jake Muller in the story mode. Here, your job will be to eliminate all the human players while they attempt to survive – and eliminate – you.

Finally, in Siege Mode there’s a single character in the game that must be protected. One side of players will attempt to protect him (the humans), while the other sets out to bring him or her down.

There’s no word yet on pricing or release dates for this DLC but we’ll provide more information soon.

Look for Resident Evil 6 on October 2nd!
